Accepting an Offer of Admission
To accept our offer of admission, notify the Office of Recruitment and Admissions in the Student Services Centre, Keva M. Bethel Building, Oakes Field Campus, or Administration Building, University of The Bahamas-North.
Deferring an Offer of Admission
If you are unable to accept our offer of admission, complete and return the Deferral of Acceptance Card to the Office of Recruitment and Admissions at either the Oakes Field Campus or University of The Bahamas-North by the dates indicated.
Failure to submit the Deferral of Acceptance Card or inform us, in writing, of your decision to defer acceptance will result in the closure of your file. If your file is closed, a new paid application will be required for future consideration.
Medical Record
If you have not already done so, submit the completed Medical Record to the Campus Nurse at either the Oakes Field Campus or the University of The Bahamas-North as soon as possible. All students are required to provide documentary evidence of their vaccination for Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR).
If you fail to submit your medical record by the dates stipulated on the form, a medical hold will be placed on your account and you will not be able to register for classes until the hold is lifted by the Nurse. Contact our Campus Nurse at (242) 302-4556 (Oakes Field Campus) or (242) 688-5919/5900 (University of The Bahamas-North), if you submitted a Medical Record less than a year ago.
Financial Aid & Scholarships

Housing
Information regarding Oakes Field Campus housing may be obtained from our Department of Housing and Residential Life at (242) 302-4433.

Academic Programmes
Not all academic programmes can be completed at all UB campuses. Refer to your advising academic unit for details. Effective Summer 2006, bachelor degree students can no longer exit at the associate degree level.
Orientation
All new students must attend New Student Orientation two weeks before the first day of classes for fall admits and one week before the first day of classes for spring admits.
In the event you must register late, your orientation package may be collected from the Student Activities Office at the Oakes Field Campus or Campus Life, University of The Bahamas-North.
All students must be advised before they register for classes. Your academic advising unit is indicated in your letter of acceptance; take this letter with you when you go to be advised on Thursday, 5 January 2017.
Once you have been advised, you will be able to reserve your courses online. Go to http://www.ub.edu.bs/academics/registration-2/ and follow the instructions. Computers will be available on campus to assist with this process.
Once you have collected your bill, proceed to the Business Office to pay your tuition and fees. You may pay your bill in cash or debit card or credit card (Visa, MasterCard or Suncard), by scholarship, by money order or certified cheque made payable to University of The Bahamas.

If you are the recipient of a scholarship or award, take your bill and your scholarship/award letter to the Business Office, Ground Floor, Student Services Centre, Keva M. Bethel Building, Oakes Field Campus, or the Business Office, Administration Building, University of The Bahamas-North.
Failure to pay in full or take advantage of the Deferred Payment Plan will result in your not being allowed to attend classes.
Collecting your UB ID card is the final step in the registration process. Present your tuition and fee payment receipt to a representative of the Office of Recruitment and Admissions on the Ground Floor, Student Services Centre, Keva M. Bethel Building, Oakes Field Campus, or the Administration Building, University of The Bahamas-North.
