At the beginning of each semester/session, the Office of Information Technology (OIT) provides each registered student with a print allocation accessible via their UB ID card. This allows students to send print jobs to any one of the printers in the locations indicated below. Printing fees are debited from the student’s print account for each page sent to the printer. At the end of each semester unused balances roll over to the next sesmester/session; however, all balances are cleared at the beginning of each new academic year when the account is reset.
Students who encounter printing problems or who need an adjustment should first contact the student worker or Techno Mentor on duty in the lab and provide evidence of the issue. The Techno Mentor will log the issue and notify the IT Help Desk. Issues that occur after normal working hours are addressed on the next business day.
Replenishing Your Print Account
Students who exhaust their print allocation before the end of the semester or summer session may continue to access printing services by purchasing additional print credit at the Business Office. The minimum amount of credit that can be added at any one time is $5.00.
