Your giving empowers us to provide opportunities for international study, student leadership and internships. Your unselfish support helps UB prepare the next generation of leaders for The Bahamas, the region and the world.

UB Giving Priorities

  • Endowed Professorships and Chairs
  • Endowed Scholarships for Science, Technology and Innovation students
  • Endowed Scholarships for students in Fine and Performing Arts
  • Endowed Scholarships for student-athletes
  • Endowment for Student Study Abroad – ALL UB students will be required to complete a study abroad experience prior to the completion of their junior year.

To further national growth and development, UB seeks to encourage industrial development in Grand Bahama with a seed fund for the Business Incubator. By attracting major companies from around the world to execute technological testing and developments with UB, students will have the opportunity to participate in ground-breaking innovative research.

The culinary and hospitality sector is among the world’s most competitive and fastest growing industries.  UB seeks to position its graduates to take advantage of the many opportunities this industry provides both locally and internationally and envisions public-private partnership possibilities with business ventures to achieve this goal.

UB sees the redesign and renaissance of this space as critical to the enhanced cultural life of the institution and the community. Public-private partnership possible with the full management of a 52-week programme offering and promotion.

UB envisions that a heightened emphasis on strengthening the creative arts industry will lead to a sustainable form of economic development, particularly within younger communities.

As the University continues to grow and develop there is urgent need for a multi-purpose facility able to host commencement and convocation activities as well as educational and sporting events, meetings, exhibitions and various other events and gatherings; a public-private partnership is envisioned to drive the development of this centre.
