Welcome to the Office of the Ombudsman.

We are here to support a fair, respectful and transparent university community by providing a confidential, impartial and independent space for students, faculty and staff to discuss concerns, resolve conflicts and explore constructive solutions.

Our University Ombudsman, or Ombuds, Ms. Wendy Poitier-Albury, is a neutral party who works with you to provide options for informal resolution of differences. We offer a range of services from conflict management and individual and group facilitated sessions to mediated discussions and training workshops.

We may be able to help if you:

  • Are not sure of how to handle a problem,
  • Lack the knowledge about the correct policy or procedure related to your situation and need to discuss private and sensitive matters, or
  • Feel that you have exhausted all other options for a resolution.

The Office of the Ombudsman operates in accordance with the International Ombuds Association’s Code of Ethics and Principles of Practice.
