What We Do

The Department of Global Studies and Programmes is the University’s central office for international education, study abroad, and student exchange. We oversee the planning, development, and administration of global mobility initiatives while providing comprehensive support to students, faculty, and international partners.

Our responsibilities include:

Developing and managing international partnerships through formal agreements
Coordinating inbound and outbound student exchange programmes
Administering study abroad opportunities across a global network of institutions
Providing academic advising and application guidance
Delivering pre-departure and arrival orientation programmes
Supporting course approvals and credit transfer processes
Monitoring student experiences and programme outcomes
Maintaining institutional data and reporting on global engagement

Study Abroad and Student Exchange Programmes

Studying abroad is one of the most rewarding experiences of a university education. Through Global Studies and Programmes, UB students can pursue international study opportunities while continuing their academic journey toward graduation.

Student Exchange Programmes

Student Exchange programmes allow UB students to study at one of our partner universities for a semester or academic year while remaining enrolled at UB and paying tuition to UB.

To ensure students are fully prepared, all outbound participants complete a comprehensive pre-departure orientation covering academic expectations, cultural awareness, travel preparation, health and safety, and logistical planning.
