STATUS OF ADMISSIONS APPLICATIONS FOR FALL 2023
Office of University Relations
Thank you for making University of The Bahamas your choice as your next chapter unfolds.
We continue to work diligently on processing all applications for admission and issuing decision letters as soon as possible. Given the volume of requests and that some applicants have not submitted all required documentation, we have encountered a slight delay. However, we have increased our resources to ensure that we complete this process swiftly. Rest assured that our dedicated team is working around the clock to ensure that you receive your official letters in the shortest timeframe possible.
We encourage you to please check your online application to ensure that you have submitted electronically all of the required documents. Decision letters will be sent to the email that you indicated on your admissions application so please continue to closely monitor your email.
In the meantime, if you have not yet received a decision letter, as the advisement period has already begun, we encourage you to seek advisement for General Education (Gen Ed) courses which are a part of your respective programmes. The Office of Academic Affairs will host an open academic advisement session for Gen. Ed. courses on Thursday 10th August 2023 beginning at 12:00 p.m. at the Performing Arts Centre in the Keva M. Bethel Building, Oakes Field Campus.
Please note that all students, including persons who may have participated in a Gen. Ed. advisement session, must still be advised specifically about their major courses of study. Therefore, once you have been issued a formal decision letter, you must still visit your academic unit to be advised. Information to help is available on the New Student Orientation webpage on the UB website.
After academic advisement, there will be just a few more steps left to complete enrolment including connecting with the Office of Information Technology (OIT) to secure log-in credentials, reserving courses online in Banner, applying for the Bahamas Government Tertiary Grant if you so choose, and completing bill payment. The academic calendar for Fall 2023 is also available online on the UB website.
We are committed to helping you through this process and to extending all the support necessary to ensure that incoming students are fully enrolled at UB. Please connect with the Office of Recruitment and Admissions via email: admissions@ub.edu.bs or phone: 302-4499 if you have questions or need further guidance.
