JOINT STATEMENT FROM UNIVERSITY OF THE BAHAMAS AND THE UNION OF TERTIARY EDUCATORS OF THE BAHAMAS
The administration at University of The Bahamas (UB) and the Union of Tertiary Educators of The Bahamas (UTEB) held further discussions on Monday 1st September 2025 to address matters related to the alignment of faculty credentials with their teaching assignments.
We are pleased to announce that that both sides have successfully resolved the outstanding issues and formal letters are being issued to faculty members affected by this evening. Both parties have also agreed on the schedule of course overloads for faculty who have agreed to teach.
UB and UTEB remain committed to working collaboratively on any and all other matters concerning faculty terms and conditions of employment. The University values the spirit of partnership that has guided these discussions and is thankful for the individualized resolutions for faculty members who are affected.
The University looks forward to continued collaboration as we advance the goals of national and international accreditation.
