Appointment of Acting Vice President Enrolment Management and Athletics

7th September 2026

University of The Bahamas (UB) announces the appointment of Mrs. Kimberley Rolle as Acting Vice-President for Enrolment Management and Athletics, effective immediately, for a one-year period.

In this capacity, Rolle will build on work already underway across areas that are central to student success and the student experience as UB pursues accreditation, including admissions and recruitment, student registration and records, and the University’s Athletics programme. Her portfolio also includes academic records and related systems, transfer credits, graduation and degree certification, course scheduling, and the effective use of instructional space.

She will work closely with the Department of Graduate Studies on recruitment and admissions, student services, and ensure that University and Board of Trustees policies and regulations are followed while leading strategic and operational planning and integrated budget development across her portfolio.

Rolle has more than 30 years of extensive experience in higher education administration and athletics. She was appointed Director of Athletics at the former College of The Bahamas in December 2008, becoming the second person and the first woman and first Bahamian to hold the position. She has also served on several occasions as Acting Vice-President for Enrolment Management and Athletics, giving her direct experience in the portfolio she now assumes.

A former student-athlete, Rolle was a four-year letterman at Henderson State University and was inducted into its Hall of Fame in 2007. She represented The Bahamas on the national women’s basketball team from 1992 to 2005, helping secure three CARICOM titles and earning MVP honours in 1998. She was recognised among the 40 Most Influential Women in Sports in 2013, and has continued to serve her community through civic and professional organisations, including her work with Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
