
Announcement of Spring 2022 Instructional Delivery

The University community is advised that the Academic Senate has given approval for the Spring 2022 semester to continue in the same instructional modality as Fall 2021.
This means that courses will primarily be delivered virtually, until further notice. However, faculty members teaching classes with less than 15 students will have the option of having face-to-face instruction on campus, adhering to COVID-19 health measures. In addition, the Senate has approved larger classes taking on a hybrid format where less than 15 students are taught in person and the remaining students are connected virtually using the interactive classroom.
Further, the following courses will use the UB Face-to-Face Instructional Delivery Model unless otherwise approved by the Vice President, Academic Affairs:
- Art and Architecture Studio Courses
- Music- Applied Lessons, Studios, Small and Large Ensembles
- Physics and Technology Laboratories
- Culinary Kitchen and Dining Room Classes
- Fieldwork Studies
- Internships
- Nursing Clinical Rounds, Internships, Practicums and Laboratories
- Physical Education Practical Classes
- Teaching Practice and Educational Fieldwork Courses
- Video Production Courses
Fieldwork Studies
Fieldwork studies will be conducted in accordance with Ministry of Health and Wellness protocols and the requirements of the fieldwork site.
Nursing Clinical Rounds, Internships, Practicums and Laboratories
Nursing Clinical Rounds, Internships, Practicums and Laboratories will be offered in accordance with Ministry of Health and Wellness protocols.
University Libraries
Curbside Pickup Service will continue for circulating items from the libraries’ print collections (with the exception of books from Special Collections). For more information, please visit UB Libraries Curbside Pickup Service LibGuide.
Library staff will be in place, operating on a rotating shift system between the hours of 10:00 am – 2:00 pm, Monday to Friday, to respond to online questions and fulfill loan requests for print resources.
Teaching Practice (TP) and Educational Fieldwork Courses
- Teaching Practice and Educational Fieldwork courses will be offered in accordance with Ministry of Health and Wellness and Ministry of Education, Technical and Vocational Training protocols as well as other independent school establishments which may be face-to-face or hybrid.
- Family and Consumer Sciences classes will be offered in a hybrid manner.
- Science methods courses will be offered in a hybrid manner.
