The Office of University Relations (OUR) provides integrated marketing, public relations, media relations and creative design services which communicate clear and consistent messaging about University of The Bahamas (UB) to its constituents and stakeholders. Through diverse publications, photography, videography, and other strategic communications we develop and manage the brand for UB, while collaborating with academic and administrative departments. In managing media relations, we are responsive to media enquiries and facilitate interviews with official spokespersons, manage requests for photography and videography and release official statements.

Faculty & Staff

Planning for a conference, symposium, or announcement or want to showcase an innovation or initiative or need marketing and advertising support? Complete the OUR Service Request Form, outlining specifically what you require. This form must also be signed by your unit Supervisor/ Chair/Dean/Vice President. Remember, we require at least three weeks’ notice in order to provide proper communications support.

Provide all necessary information for the completion of the project. Include as much information as possible, especially on dates, times, and complete publication contents. If you require flyers, posters or a larger, more comprehensive publication, then provide the text at the outset so that collaboration can occur on the final product. If you are planning an event, confirm dates, times and venues for proper promotion. We also provide business cards for faculty and designated staff by filling out the Request for Business Card form which must bear the appropriate signatures.

 

Students

Campus bulletin boards are available for the posting of flyers and posters related to events approved by Student Affairs Office. However, flyers and posters must be submitted to OUR for consideration of approval before they are posted to bulletin boards. Approved content is stamped and signed for posting and must bear correct grammar and spelling, be tasteful and observe all UB brand guidelines.

Submit all requests for assistance e.g. interviews, statements, feature stories, talk show appearances to any one of the following persons:-
