2026-2031 Strategic Planning Process: Shaping the Future of UB Together
University of The Bahamas (UB) has embarked on an important new chapter with the launch of the process for the UB 2026–2031 Strategic Plan, a collaborative, comprehensive effort that will help define UB’s future, strengthen our impact, and advance our role in national development.
Over the past several years, UB has taken steps to strengthen student success, institutional effectiveness, academic quality, and community engagement. As we continue our journey toward national and international accreditation, each milestone reinforces our commitment to institutional excellence and student success.
Now, we are building on that momentum.
The new strategic plan will establish a shared vision for the next five years and identify the goals, priorities, and values that will guide the University’s continued growth and transformation. The process will build upon the progress achieved through the UB 2024–2026 Strategic Vision and help position the University to meet the evolving needs of students, industries, communities, and the nation.
A Process Shaped by Community
This strategic plan will be shaped by the voices of our internal and external stakeholders.
Faculty, staff, students, alumni, employers, industry leaders, government partners, community organizations, and members of the public will all have opportunities to contribute ideas, perspectives, and aspirations for the future of UB.
We are committed to ensuring that the process is broad-based, inclusive, and meaningful. To make participation accessible to as many stakeholders as possible, the University will use a combination of online and in-person engagement opportunities, including:
- Digital surveys
- Stakeholder consultations
- Discussions
- Forums
Online engagement tools will help us connect with stakeholders across the country and beyond, while in-person conversations will provide opportunities for deeper dialogue and shared understanding.
Participation opportunities and updates will be shared through official University communication channels throughout the process.
