Vice President, Student Services

Mr. Joe Stubbs is a student-centered higher education professional whose career demonstrates a deep commitment to the full breadth of student affairs that supports holistic success.

As Vice President Student Services, Mr. Stubbs leads comprehensive support services. These include health services, psychological support, intramural sports, campus life, and student leadership programming which prioritize student readiness for a dynamic global community. In this highly collaborative role, he also works closely with community stakeholders, and governmental and non-governmental partners to enhance student affairs. He brings extensive insight to policy development for student success and effective student governance, all in support of retention, well-being, and engagement.

Mr. Stubbs previously served in several other student-affairs roles at colleges and universities in the United States from 2006 to 2016 including Culver-Stockton College in Missouri and Nova Southeastern University, Florida International University, and Saint Leo University, all in Florida. During this period, he earned recognition for advancing student leadership and inclusion through his work advising student governance bodies and cultural organizations. He joined the University in 2016 as Director of Student Leadership and International Relations, and in his subsequent roles as Dean of Students and Vice President Student Affairs has led a strengthening of support services as well as global engagement initiatives aligned with the University’s strategic imperatives.

Mr. Stubbs’ professional memberships include: Association of Fraternity Advisors (AFA), American College Personnel Association (ACPA), Fraternal Values Society (FVS), National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA) and National Association of Campus Activities (NACA). He is also an active member of the Bahamas Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

He holds a Master of Science Degree in College Student Affairs with a concentration in Conflict Resolution and Analysis from Nova Southeastern University, and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sports Management from Saint Leo University.
