Chief of Staff

As Chief of Staff, Ms. Felicity A. Humblestone provides strategic leadership and coordination in support of the President’s vision and the University’s long-term institutional priorities.

Ms. Humblestone has a strong collaborative approach and operational insight as she aligns people, resources, and initiatives across the institution to strengthen effectiveness and accountability. This focus is especially crucial as the University advances through a period of meaningful growth and expanded national and international engagement.

 

Drawing on extensive experience in nonprofit leadership, fundraising, programme development, and talent management, Ms. Humblestone works closely with senior leadership, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders to enhance communication and ensure that institutional efforts centred on core priorities. Her leadership supports the University’s commitment to student success and operational excellence, with a broader contribution to national development.

Ms. Humblestone’s career reflects a longstanding dedication to higher education and access. She has held leadership roles in Development, Grants and Alumni Relations at University of The Bahamas and the former College of The Bahamas. At the Lyford Cay Foundations, she led the tuition-free FOCUS college access programme for public school students before being appointed Executive Director in 2018, guiding one of the country’s most influential philanthropic organizations and strengthening educational opportunity across The Bahamas.

She holds a degree in Hispanic Studies and Linguistics from McMaster University and began her career in university advancement there as a Prospect Researcher. Actively engaged in civic life, she has supported initiatives in education, governance, and national service.
