University of The Bahamas has a new industrial agreement with the Bahamas Public Services Union. The agreement, signed on Wednesday, 27th September 2017, is effective 1st January 2015 to 31st December 2019. UB President Dr. Rodney D. Smith said, “I think this is the perfect example of staff, administrators and everyone coming together as a UB family and making progress toward building an institution that is viable and that looks out for the best interest of its employees.” Signing the agreement just before the expiration of his term in office, former BPSU President Mr. John Pinder noted, “We really want to look at this agreement as setting the pace for the rest of the industrial agreements that the BPSU has the obligation of negotiating.”
