Based upon an initial ten-year horizon for growth, the Master Plan for capital development is the blueprint that will guide further infrastructural improvement and expansion at the Oakes Field and Northern Bahamas campuses. The guiding principles of the plan are rooted in the academic, cultural and physical life of UB. One aim is to establish a welcoming campus with a strong identity that supports sustainable academic, cultural, economic and environmental growth. Another is to ensure that UB maintains a visible, well defined presence within the communities it serves. To enhance the student experience with quality indoor and outdoor learning environments, the plan entails creating additional student residences and student life facilities, creating flexible and adaptable learning spaces and augmenting green spaces. The overall objective is to develop a more open and nurturing campus environment.
