With anticipated rising enrolment, the newly completed residential, multi-purpose facility at the University of The Bahamas-North will be a key feature in UB’s operations in the northern Bahamas. Funded by a $3 million donation from the Grand Bahama Port Authority, the 88-bed residential facility includes a cafeteria, laundry facilities, student lounge, study hall and a computer laboratory. This facility will help to transition the University of The Bahamas-North from a commuter institution to a residential one. Newly developed residential life programmes will provide opportunities for informal learning communities, creative activities and the personal development of student residents. The faculity is expected to become operational in early 2017.
